This week, the RethinkAction project took part in the 7th European Climate Change Adaptation (ECCA) conference in Rimini, contributing to a dynamic panel on:
“Cross-sectoral and multi-scale climate services – upscaling of mitigation and adaptation actions.”
The session brought together leading Horizon2020 Green Deal projects — I-CISK, LOCALISED, REACHOUT, and RethinkAction — to spotlight innovative tools and platforms shaping Europe’s climate services landscape.
Our colleague Sara Barilari from CARTIF joined the conversation on how integrated, people-centered climate services can support effective action at all levels, local and European, and we were thrilled by the active participation from researchers, policymakers, and practitioners across sectors.
The main focus of the discussions was:
- What climate services are, and how they inform decision-making
- The real challenges projects like RethinkAction face in implementation
- How to scale up solutions for greater impact
In the afternoon brokerage session, participants had the chance to explore the RethinkAction platform in more depth; this sparked meaningful exchange and curiosity about its real-world application.
Thank you to our sister project LOCALISED, whose booth served as a joint space to highlight shared outputs, including our co-developed policy brief.
And finally, a big thank you to the ECCA organisers, our fellow Horizon colleagues, and everyone who stopped by to connect!
