On May 15, 2024, Climate Media Factory will showcase the example of RethinkAction to talk about simplifying the content of scientific research not only verbally, but also making it visually understandable at the “Ensuring an Inclusive & Accessible Green Transition” online event.

In celebration of the Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) 2024, TransMedia Catalonia is organising a series of events to explore strategies to make the green transition inclusive and accessible to everyone. The online webinar will address significant environmental challenges and highlight the importance of considering intersectional factors such as gender, disabilities, age, and cultures to ensure a truly inclusive green transition. The event aims to foster an inclusive dialogue, amplifying diverse voices to ensure full participation in environmental matters.

Using the RethinkAction project as example, Catharina Dörr from the Climate Media Factory will show the design considerations to make a scientific project approachable and inviting to a wide audience. Using another H2020 project, I-CHANGE, she will talk about the task of grasping scientific complexity in a visual language as well as the challenge of representing gender, urban spaces and human bodies in a diverse way.
