On 27th and 28th May 2025, the RethinkAction consortium gathered in Valladolid, Spain, for its final General Assembly — marking a major milestone in the project’s journey. Hosted by CARTIF, the two-day meeting brought together partners from across Europe to reflect on achievements, align on final outputs, and plan for the crucial months ahead.

With the project approaching completion, the interdisciplinary results developed over the past four years are converging into a cohesive and impactful set of tools, insights, and engagement activities.

What’s Coming Next?

As RethinkAction moves into its final phase, several key initiatives are on the horizon:

  • Platform Launch: The Integrated Assessment Platform, RethinkAction’s core output, will go live in mid-June. Designed to support evidence-based decision-making, the platform integrates climate data, socio-economic scenarios, and participatory methodologies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: The fifth and final round of stakeholder interactions will take place across the project’s Case Study Regions in June.
  • Webinar Series: A set of webinars in July will introduce the platform’s features and demonstrate its applications for land-use planning, climate adaptation, and mitigation.
  • Final Event: A public event is scheduled for September 2025, highlighting project results and presenting the platform’s policy potential.

Beyond these milestones, the coming months will also bring:

  • Policy briefs
  • Training modules
  • Interactive updates
  • Opportunities for public and professional engagement

A Strong Finish

The Valladolid assembly was not only a working meeting — it was a celebration of the collaboration, trust, and commitment that have defined the RethinkAction project. With nearly four years of joint effort behind us, the consortium now enters its final stretch with renewed focus and shared purpose.

Our sincere thanks go to our project coordinator Iván Ramos Diez and the CARTIF team for hosting a productive and socially rich gathering. Their hospitality and professionalism helped create the perfect setting to reflect, plan, and move forward.
